DO NOT TAKE YOUR PRODUCTS TO REDINGTON IT. THIS IS ALSO A NOTE TO ANY HP AGENT THAT CARES TO NOTE ON HOW YOUR SERVICE PARTNERS ARE RUINING THE HP BRAND!
Here is our story and experience from the support and service related company based in Cape Town.
Job Card : 0001018970
We submitted a HP Pro 8500 in for a quotation on fixing a problem whereby the ink tank releases more ink on a page during print, basically a small leak noticed when printing.
Job Date: 1 December 2011 – We dropped off and booked in the unit, was told 7 days turnaround time.
8 December 2011 : No communication was received regarding the job until follow up phone calls on Thursday 8th, 1 week later from booking the unit in. No information could be given about the HP and was told that we would be called back with the information.
9 December 2011: Called to follow up as no one returned our calls, only being told that the Printer was in JHB. No fault description or ETA could be provided. I then requested that my printer be returned as I couldn’t accept that the unit had to spend a week traveling and that no one could simply quote me on a repair.
12 December 2011: Contacted Redington asking for a quote, it is still yet to be emailed to us. I requested that they simply send the unit back so that so that it could be taken to a Company that can produce the services.
13 December 2011: Called again and was told that the printer had arrived. We went to collect and ensure that on arrival the correct unit was returned to us. We opened the wrapping to find that the unit was covered in ink, most obvious due to the travelling to JHB and back.
Below are the photos of the unit that Redington find acceptable condition to return to the customer.
We contacted Redington to speak to managers/owners or anyone that could comment on this job. No one could take our call and was again promised a call back. We emailed Redington giving them 24 hours to fix the situation if they felt necessary. We did get confirmation of receipt on this email saying that it had been escalated.
